Samuel J. Buchholz

Mr. Buchholz brings more than 24 years of commercial real estate experience into his role as Director of Operations at Capstone Group. He joined the team in 2014 and has led all daily operations including furthering the development of equity partners, national tenant, and lending relationships.

Prior to joining Capstone, Mr. Buchholz was a Managing Director at Cantor Fitzgerald. At Cantor, Mr. Buchholz was responsible for advising financial institutions in the disposition of performing and non-performing real estate loan portfolios. During his tenure, Samuel, managed over USD 10 billion of pricing, structuring, and trading of distressed real estate loans for both public and private transactions.

Prior to Cantor, Mr. Buchholz was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing. At Morgan Stanley, Mr. Buchholz structured and executed a complete range of real estate financing transactions for Morgan Stanley’s US Equity Funds including Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds (MSREF), Prime Property Fund and large institutional separate accounts. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Samuel was a Director in the Investment Management Department for Archon Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. At Archon Group, Samuel was responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing all aspects of real estate debt transactions ranging in size from USD 20 million – 500 million on behalf of Whitehall Street Real Estate Funds.

Samuel received his B.B.A in Finance from Baylor University in 1997.
